Readiness Tracker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026  ·  Effective: July 2026

Plain-language summary: Muster keeps your information on your own device. We do not collect it, we do not transmit it, we do not store it on any server, and we have no account system. What you track in Muster stays with you, and you decide if and when to share it.

Who this applies to

This policy covers the Muster mobile application (“Muster,” “the app,” “we,” “our,” “us”), published by Muster Readiness LLC. Muster is a personal readiness-tracking tool for individual service members.

The short version

Muster is built on a simple principle: your data is yours, and it stays on your device. Muster has no backend server, no user accounts, and no analytics that identify you. We cannot see your data because it never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it.

What information Muster stores

Muster stores the following locally on your device only:

This information is saved in the app’s local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party. We do not have access to it.

What information Muster does NOT collect

Sharing — only when you choose

Muster includes a feature that lets you generate a QR code summarizing your readiness status, which you can show to a leader to scan in person. When you do this:

A leader who scans readiness QR codes stores that information locally on their own device to view their formation’s status. That information is held on their device and is not sent to us or to any server.

The camera

Muster uses your device camera only to scan QR codes shown by other users, and only when you open the scanning feature. Camera images are processed on the device to read the QR code and are not stored, saved, or transmitted.

Notifications

If you choose to enable reminders, Muster schedules them locally on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server, and enabling reminders does not transmit any of your information to us.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual entries within the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device removes all data Muster has stored. We retain nothing, because we never had it.

Children’s privacy

Muster is intended for adult service members and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. (Muster does not collect information from anyone on a server in any case.)

Security

Muster’s primary security protection is architectural: your information stays on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on any server, so there is no central database to breach. Information stored on your device is protected by your device’s own operating-system security and encryption. You should protect your device with a passcode or biometric lock.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
